Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival to Lima (-)
Upon arrival, our representatives offer a welcoming reception and will transfer you to the hotel. A documentation kit, detailed program explanation plus luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered.

Day 2
Lima - Cusco (B)
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, reception by our representatives and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to rest and get acclimatized to the altitude.

Day 3
5D/4N SUN TRAIL TREK: CUSCO – CRUZPATA – SALKANTAYPAMPA (B/L/D)
We leave Cusco early (06.30am) and drive, to the village of Mollepata a nice Indian Village situated in a citrus growing area at a subtropical 2803 m. We may have time to visit the Inka Archaeological site of Limatambo (Tarawasi) one of the nicest buildings in the region before getting to Mollepata. We begin our trek to CRUZ PATA, meeting with the mule handlers who will accompany us on our trek. It is a spectacular location overlooking the deep valley of the Rio Apurimac. We will arrive to Challacancha for Lunch. We then begin a slow ascent to our camp at Salkantaypampa near the tiny settlement of Soraypampa. Views of the mountain Humantay (5917 metres) spur us on, and just before our camp the majestic Salkantay appears. We camp at 4000 metres, with possible night time temperatures of 0-40c.
Day 4
5D/4N SUN TRAIL TREK: SALKANTAYPAMPA – QOLLPAPAMPA (B/L/D)
Today it will be a long journey, we depart at 06:00am. This is approximately an 8 hour walk. We hike in close proximity to the glacial moraine of Salkantay, (4500m) the views are astounding and the landscape is beautiful. We continue descending to Huaracmachay for a delicious lunch. In this area we can appreciate some portions of Inka Trail (cobbled). In the afternoon we descend to our campsite at Qollpapampa. From this area onwards we may encounter herders with their alpacas and llamas.
Day 5
5D/4N Sun Trail Trek: Qollpapampa – Lucmabamba (B/L/D)
After breakfast we will descend through a narrow path toward the banks of the Cachora River. This day we will enjoy a warmer and more humid climate, at this altitude there is a marked change in the flora and fauna, becoming more verdant and preparing us for the subtropical foliage, on the route we will pass through wild fruits plantations like passion fruit, coffee plantations. In the afternoon we will continue close to the banks of the river and we will pass Sahuayaco village. Later we arrive to our campsite at Lucmabamba.
Day 6
5D/4N Sun Trail Trek: Lucmabamba - Hydro – Machu Picchu Town (Aguas Calientes) (B/L)
After breakfast, we will start to walk towards “La Playa” village and we will cross the river and start climbing until arrive to El Mirador or Abra Q’elloqasa (2860 m.a.s.l.) from here we have an exceptional view of Machu Picchu from a different angle. We enjoy a last lunch at the lookout point of Llaqtapata (2650masl) from where we can view both Machu Picchu and Salkantay Mountain and take a good rest, enjoying the added value of the Llactapata remains, which have recently been restored.
A descent towards the Aobamba River crossing lush bamboo forests, more orchards and coffee plantations brings us to the hydroelectric plant of Machupicchu from where we board a train that takes us to Machu Picchu Pueblo (short, scenic 30-minutes train ride), arriving to Aguas Calientes, transfer to the hotel for resting.

Day 7
5D/4N Sun Trail Trek: Machu Picchu – Cusco (B)
Early in the morning we will take the first bus up to Machu Picchu Sanctuary; our guide will offer a full guided tour of this spectacular place. Then, we will have free time to explore. Return to Aguas Calientes to take the afternoon train to Ollantaytambo, where a private bus awaits to take us to our hotel in Cusco city.

Day 8
Free Day – Explore the City on your own! (B)
You will have all the day at leisure to enjoy the beautiful city of Cusco.

Cusco: City Tour, Sacsayhuaman and Nearby Ruins
In the afternoon, we will visit the amazing colonial city built on the foundations of the Inca palaces. You will visit the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun, where you can appreciate the incredible masonry of the Incas, the Plaza de Armas and the Cathedral with its carved woodworks, altars and paintings. Then you will be driven to the Inca fortress of Sacsay
huamán, to the underground cave and temple of Kenko, Puca Pucará and to Tambomachay, known as the Baths of the Inca.
Optional
Sacred Valley of the Incas: Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo. Lunch included
We will drive towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, taking the direct route to Pisac. We will stop on the way to have a classic view of the Urubamba valley, with crops dressing the mountains like carpets. We will arrive to the colorful market of Pisac, where we will have free time to interact with the local craftsmen, or to purchase their hand-made souvenirs. We will continue to the town of Urubamba for a buffet lunch. Finally, we will visit Ollantaytambo, attractive town of Inca origin with remarkable channels and stone streets. In its high part one rises to an impressive ceremonial center of cult to the water and a fortress that guarded the access to the inferior part of the valley.
Day 9
Cusco / Lima (B)
At the scheduled time, we will transfer you to the airport to take your flight back to Lima. Upon arrival, reception by our representatives and transfer to the hotel.

Half Day City Tour Lima
Our guided visit to Lima allows you to see the Historical Center: Plaza Mayor ("Main Square"), the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit the San Francisco Convent, which has the most magnificent monumental collection of colonial art in America. The tour will continue through the most traditional residential areas of Lima which include San Isidro, Miraflores and Larco Mar, a stop of international thematic attractions which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean.
Day 10
Lima: International Flight
At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to take your international departure flight.
