CUSCO AND MACHU PICCHU - 04 DAYS/ 3 NIGHTS

Day 01 LIMA / CUSCO

Buffet Breakfast
This morning after an energizing breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will flight one-hour flight to Cusco.
On arrival, we have arranged reception and transfer to the Hotel
Visitors should take a short rest in order to adjust to the altitude.
We start our trip visiting the Santo Domingo Convent, built over the Koricancha, and ancient Inca palace and main worship center of the Sun God. Later, we will stop at the Main Square, where you can find the Cathedral and the beautiful Church of La Compañía. Going on with the tour, we will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Finally, we will take a look at the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca- Pucara and Tambomachay, located north east of the city. As a suggestion to mysticism and esoterism lovers, the Sacsayhuaman Complex is an excellent spot to hold meditation sessions.

Late afternoon, you will be transfer to Garcilazo Theater to enjoy an spectacular, modern, world- class show in Cusco: Kusikay. This show tells a story based in the culture, myths, beliefs and customs of the Andean Peruvian man using elements of various scenic arts where theatre, dance, circus and magic are mixed in an unique presentation. After the show, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant

Day 02 CUSCO / MACHU PICHU

Catch the morning train for a full day tour of Machu Picchu, the “Lost City of the Incas” being one of the most renowed examples of Inca architecture. Surrounded by lush cloud forest, the citadel perches on a mist-shrounded mountain top.

Day 03 MACHU PICHU / CUSCO

Buffet Breakfast
Enjoy a magnificent dawn from this advantaged location and get ready to embark on different activities such as climbing up the Huayna Picchu or perhaps strolling through the hotel’s lush orchid gardens.
We will then transfer you to Aguas Calientes to travel back to Cusco via the Vistadome train . Upon arrival at Poroy, a transfer will await to take you back to the Libertador Hotel.

Day 04 CUSCO / LIMA

Buffet Breakfast
Morning transfers to the airport flight back to Lima, conection with your international flight back home.

HIRAM BIMGHAM TRAIN TO MACHU PICHU
The Hiram Bingham will depart Cusco at 09h00 which gives a more leisurely start to the day than the traditional 06h00 departures of other services. Brunch will be served on board whilst travelers enjoy the spectacular scenery unfolding before them from the large windows, and the arrival in Machu Picchu at 12h30 gives Hiram Bingham passengers the advantage of entering the Sanctuary at an hour when the majority of the visitors are already beginning to leave for their journey back to Cusco. Thus, Hiram Bingham passengers will not only have the opportunity to experience the Ruins at Machu Picchu in relative solitude, but will have a longer period of time there, returning to the train only as the sun goes down.
