Detailed Itinerary:


Day 01
Arrival in Salta / City Tour (-)

Upon arrival in Salta, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
In the afternoon we will visit the City, finishing at a wine bar; here we enjoy a small introduction about the Wine tour in Salta, with wine tasting and a “Picada” (a snack of cheese and cold cuts).

Day 02
Transfer to Cachi / El Molino de Cachi Winery (B)

We start traversing the Valle de Lerma and its historical towns, up to El carril, continuing to Chicoana and Los Laureles and Escoipe Cliffs.  After El Maray, we start ascending at the Cuesta del Obispo (Bishop’s Cliff), a winding mountain road where we can enjoy a viewpoint of the Enchanted Valley and the small houses with their corn and fruit crops.  The highest point of the trip, Piedra del Molino (Mill Stone), has 3.348 meters above sea level. Here we start descending up to Los Cardones (Cactus) National Park along the Straight Line of Tin Tin (ancient Inca road). Arriving to Cachi we have a very good view of Nevado de cachi and Payogasta. At Cachi we visit our first winery: El Molino de Cachi.

Day 03
Colomé & Humanao Wineries / Transfer to Cafayate (B/L)

After breakfast, we take the route to Colomé, where we visit the winery and have lunch. We continue towards Humanao Winery.  We go along National Route 40, through the Arrows Gorge. 
Crossing the towns of Angastaco, San Carlos and Animaná, where Mr. Virgilio Plaza planted the first French variety in La Perseverancia, we reach Cafayate.
Cafayate is known as the land of the Torrontés wine, considered unique in the world for the special characteristics of the place, such as the weather, ground, high altitude, humidity, and also due to its production process
The wineries of the region also produce other varieties such as Cabernet sauvignon, Chardonnay, Malbec and syrah.

Day 04
Wineries in Cafayate / Lunch & Wine Tasting at Finca Las Nubes (B/L)

To start the day we enjoy a tour around the town, we visit Winery Nanni, which has the only wine in the area with National Certificate for being Organic. 
We continue our trip to Finca las Nubes, where we visit their winery and have lunch with wine tasting.
After lunch we visit two of the pioneer wineries in the zone: El Esteco and Vasija Secreta.

Overnight in Cafayate.


Day 05
Return to Salta / Shell’s Gorge (B/L)

We have a morning at leisure.
After lunch we return to Salta along Quebrada de las Conchas (the Shell´s Gorge), where wind and water erosion carved curious shapes on the rocks (The Amphitheatre, Devil’s throat, The Toad, The Castles, among others).

Day 06
Departure (B)

At scheduled time transfer to the airport of Salta for your flight to Buenos Aires.
