Day 1
Transportation from La Paz or Puno to Copacabana (3 hours), continue to la Gruta, where you’ll start hiking an Inca trail, going up to a pass, with great views of the lake and Andes Range. Continue through the country side until the community of Sampaya (3 hours), well kept in Andean architecture of adobe bricks and thatch roofs. Go down to the bay and take the boat to Island of the Sun (1 hour), land near Pilkokaina ruins and have a typical aptapi. Then hike one hour to ecolodge La Estancia.
Day 2
DON’T MISS AN EARLY SUNRISE! Boat north to the Chincana ruins (1 hour), then to Island of the Moon and its Iñak Uyu ruins, to finally reach Copacabana, visit the famous Dark Virgin and its church, lunch and a stroll of town. Transportation to Puno or La Paz (3 hours).

Day 3
Hike through Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, boat to Island of the Moon, visit its ruins, then to Copacabana, visit the famous Dark Virgin and its church, lunch and a stroll of town. Transportation to La Paz or Puno (3 hours).
