Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1
Transfer in to La Paz (-)
Transfer in from El Alto International airport to your designed hotel.
Overnight in La Paz
Day 2
Tiahuanaco ruins – City tour (BL)
Morning trip through the northern Bolivian highlands to the ruins of Tiahuanaco at 72 km from the city. It’s one of the oldest American cultures, considered the cradle of the American man, starting in 1,500 bC until 1,100 aC. You’ll visit the main ceremonial center with the temple of Kalasasaya, Gate of the Sun, monoliths Ponce and Fraile, Akapana pyramid and the Semiunderground temple, as well as the two local museums. Return to La Paz, where you’ll have lunch near the Valley of the Moon that will be visited too.
In the afternoon city tour including street markets, rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft artifacts. Then San Francisco church, the Gold and Murillo museums and Murillo square with the Congress, Government palaces and Cathedral.

Day 3
La Paz – Island of the Sun (BL)
Transportation from crossing the highlands towards north, going parallel to the Cordillera Real or Royal Range of the Andes, until reaching Lake Titicaca in Huarina, bordering its eastern side and crossing the strait of Tiquina, until reaching the town of Copacabana (3 hours). A main tourist destination, been part of the international corridor from Cusco to La Paz, entrance gate to lake Titicaca and also the main pilgrimage catholic center of Bolivia, due to the Virgen Morena. You’ll take the boat to Island of the Sun (1 hour), land near Pilkokaina ruins to have a typical aptapi, then hike one hour to ecolodge La Estancia.

Day 4
Trekking in the Island of Sun (BLD)
DON’T MISS AN EARLY SUNRISE! Take a boat to the northern part of the island and visit the Chincana ruins (1 hour), built near the Sacred Rock, where the first two Incas Manco Kapac and Mama Ocllo were born. Hike through an Inca trail crossing the whole Island from north to south, with great landscapes of the lake and its surroundings until the village of Yumani (3 hours). Continue to the ecolodge to have a typical huatia, cook under the fire. Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.

Day 5
Island of Sun – Copacabana – La Paz (BLD)
Hike through Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, to take the boat to Copacabana, visit the famous Dark Virgin and its church, have lunch and a stroll of town.
Transportation bordering part of lake Titicaca and crossing the northern highlands to the city of La Paz (3 hours).

Day 6
La Paz – Tomarapi (Sajama National Park) (BLD)
Private transportation from La Paz, crossing the highlands and Desaguadero river. Visit the colonial church of Curahuara de Carangas, declared the Sixtina Chapel of the Bolivian Andes, continue west closer to the Sajama national park. You’ll see few valleys of rocks with great stone formations done by the erosion, as well as old ceremonial tombs of the Carangas culture.
Leave the main road to Chile and turn right to the northern foothills of the Sajama mountain (highest peak of Bolivia with 6,532m, to overnight in Ecolodge Tomarapi (4 hours).
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy a trek in the surroundings to see the wetlands from water coming of the glaciers, ideal for the llama and alpaca raising.

Day 6
Sajama National Park (BLD)
Early morning departure to see the geysers of Walla Keris and appreciate all the volcanic activities of the western or volcanic Andes Range, enjoy the beauty of area, visiting also the village of Sajama and its great colonial church. Enjoy a thermal bath in one of the 40 hot springs of the area.
In the afternoon you’ll hike and visit a queñuas forest at over 4,200 m.

Day 7
Tomarapi – Macaya – Sabaya – Oruro – Tahua (BLD)
Morning amazing trip south of the park, crossing rivers and rich wetlands with plenty of Andean animals like llamas, alpacas and vicuñas, complement with rich habitats, culture and landscapes. You’ll pass the village of Macaya with a beautiful small colonial church (2 hours), near a lagoon of the same name.
Then is the Lauca river and an amazing spot, in terms of culture, the coloured tombs of Macaya, they belong to the Carangas culture and are over 20 of different colours and sizes. Visit also Saquewa lagoon with Andean flamingos (1 hour). Continue trip south in gravel road until the town of Sabaja, where you’ll enter the international road from the border town of Pisiga (2 hours - Colchane in Chile) to Oruro (3 hours). Then take the road south passing the towns of Challapata, Quillacas, Garci Mendoza to finally reach Tahua (4 hours), in the shores of the Uyuni saltflats.
Overnight in a salt hotel in Tahua.
Day 8
Tahua – Uyuni saltflats – Colchani (BLD)
Morning visit of this small village, dedicate to agriculture and some animal raising like llamas and sheeps. Then you’ll start your trip entering this natural wonder of the nature, with over 10,000 km2 of salt, visiting first the old mummies of Coquesa, continue to Incahuasi Island, a special habitat of giant cactus and volcanic rocks, to finally go east through the saltflats to Colchani, to see the locals produce salt.

Day 9
Colchani – Oruro – La Paz (bus) (BL)
Morning transportation from Colchani north through the highlands, passing the towns of Rio Mulatos, Sevaruyo, Challapata to the city of Oruro (5 – 6 hours), to finally take the bus to La Paz (3 hours).
Overnight in La Paz.
Day 10
Transfer out (B)
Transfer out to El Alto International airport to take your international flight back home.
