Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1
Transfer in to La Paz (-)
Transfer in from El Alto International airport to your designed hotel.

Day 2
Tiahuanaco ruins – City tour (BL)
Morning trip through the northern Bolivian highlands to the ruins of Tiahuanaco at 72 km from the city. It’s one of the oldest American cultures, considered the cradle of the American man, starting in 1,500 bC until 1,100 aC. You’ll visit the main ceremonial center with the temple of Kalasasaya, Gate of the Sun, monoliths Ponce and Fraile, Akapana pyramid and the Semiunderground temple, as well as the two local museums. Return to La Paz, where you’ll have lunch near the Valley of the Moon that will be visited too.
In the afternoon city tour including street markets, rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft artifacts. Then San Francisco church, the Gold and Murillo museums and Murillo square with the Congress, Government palaces and Cathedral.

Day 3
La Paz – Island of Sun (BLD)
Transportation from La Paz to Copacabana (3 hours), continue to la Gruta, where you’ll start hiking an Inca trail, going up to a pass, with great views of the lake and the Andes Range. Crossing the country side until the community of Sampaya (3 hours), well kept with Andean architecture of adobe bricks and thatch roofs. Go down to the bay and take the boat to Island of the Sun (1 hour), land near Pilkokaina ruins, then hike one hour to ecolodge La Estancia.

Day 4
Trekking in the Island of Sun (BLD)
DON’T MISS AN EARLY SUNRISE! Take a boat to the northern part of the island and visit the Chincana ruins (1 hour), built near the Sacred Rock, where the first two Incas Manco Kapac and Mama Ocllo were born. Hike through an Inca trail crossing the whole Island from north to south, with great landscapes of the lake and its surroundings until the village of Yumani (3 hours). Continue to the ecolodge to have a typical huatia, cook under the fire. Rest of the afternoon free to enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.

Day 5
Island of Sun – Copacabana – Condoriri (BLD)
Hike through Yumani in the Garden of the Incas, to take the boat to Copacabana, visit the famous Dark Virgin and its church, with lunch.
Transportation bordering part of lake Titicaca and crossing part of the highlands towards the Andes, near Tuni lagoon (3 hours). Start the trek first flat until the bottom of the range; continue uphill crossing one small lagoon and reaching a second on the foothills of the Condoriri Mountain (3 hours), to camp at 4,650 m.
Overnight in tent in Condoriri.
Day 6
Climb Pequeño Alpamayo (BLD)
You have many mountains to choose for hiking or climbing, ideal to start climbing in the Andes Range, like:
- Austria (5,396m) 7 hours round trip.
- Pequeño Alpamayo (5,330 m) 8 hours round trip.
- Condors Head of the Condoriri (5,648 m) 8 hours round trip.
Day 7
Condoriri – Ancohuma (BLD)
A long trekking day, crossing two summits close to 5,000 m, to then descend and follow the canyon of Pampa Leon, until the small lagoon of Liviñosa. Continue going down to Ancoma, set in a nice valley to camp at 3,800 m (7 – 8 hours).
Overnight in Ancoma.
Day 8
Ancohuma – Chacapampa – Zongo Pass – High Camp (BLD)
Half an hour trek down to Chacapampa (3,550 m), a village where one of the hydroelectric plants that supply energy to the city of La Paz of the Zongo valley is. Transportation to the foothills of the Huayna Potosi Mountain (2 hours - 4,700 m), where you’ll start the climb to Las Rocas in four hours (5,100 m), where the high camp is set.
Overnight in high camp.
Day 9
Huayna Potosi summit (6,088 m) – La Paz (BL)
Very early in the morning (2,00 am) start the climb in snow and ice until the base of the pyramid and reach the summit from its frontal eastern part (8 hours – 6,088 m). Climb down to the high camp and down to the base (4 hours), to finally take transportation back to La Paz (2 hours).

Day 10
Free day to rest in La Paz (B)
Free day. Overnight in La Paz
Day 11
La Paz – Puente Roto (BLD)
Private transportation descending through the valley of the city of La Paz and then Palca valley, to go up until Uni farm (3,600 m). The hike began passing an area where people is dedicated to raise llamas and sheep’s and few agriculture (potato). Continues to Puente Roto at the foothills of the mountain, to camp at 4,650 m.
Overnight in base camp.
Day 12
Puente Roto – High camp (BLD)
The trail has lots of gravel stone and few snow on a rocky moraine, is very steep until reaching Nido de Condores ( 4 – 5 hours), where the high camp is at 5,600 m.

Day 13
Illimani summit (6,438 m) – Base camp (BLD)
Climbing is very steep, first an ice wall of almost 50°, then a place called "stairway to heaven", which ends on the base of a big dome, many switch backs after a flat ridge lead to the south side of the route surrounded by crevasses, there is a 150 meters wall, not to steep, after to deal with a big crevasse (sometimes with bridge), this ends on the back of the last crest of the south peak, the summit (about 6 hours). On the way back down to the high camp (3 hours), to remove it and after some snacks and a little rest to continue down to the base camp (2 hours), where a good meal will help to sleep.

Day 14
Base camp – Puente Roto – La Paz (BL)
Hike down to Puente Roto (2 hours), to take the private transportation back to La Paz (3 hours).
Overnight in La Paz.
Day 15
Transfer out (B)
Transfer out to El Alto International airport to take your international flight back home.
