Santa Cruz is a modern city with colonial influence, main entrance gate to the Amazon and Chaco areas in Bolivia, located in the tropical eastern lowlands with cheery people.
The tour goes to the most attractive and affluent sites of the city: visit the zoo where regional fauna and various endangered species can be seen. Museums, principal monuments, residential neighborhoods, and La Recoba handcraft market.

Santa Cruz Verde or Green


To see the surrounding nature and habitats near the city, you’ll visit the Ivaga Guazu Park, at 12 km, a unique sample to see a great variety of ornamental, native and exotic plants as you take an easy hike down to pleasant paths. You’ll have a typical lunch.
In the afternoon trip to Biocentro Guembe located at 15 min from the city, to have relaxing walks around a giant butterflies observatory, see orchids and enjoy the natural pools surrounded by ornamental gardens and lagoons that border 23 hectares, of a wonderful Park.

Samaipata Ruins

Samaipata is located 120 km from the city, with great sub-Andean beauty in landscapes,is in the elbow of the Andes Range, with the Amazon in the north and Chaco forest in the south.
El Fuerte ruins is the largest example of pre-Hispanic rock architecture in South America, declared a Cultural Heritage site by the UNESCO.
Continue trip to the nice colonial town of Samaipata, visit of the museum and a stroll in town.  Return to Santa Cruz with a stop at the waterfalls Las Cuevas.

Jesuit Missions - San Javier & Concepción

Day 1

Trip through the Chiqutania lowlands to the town of San Javier, visit the first Mission Church, its imposing temple. Continue through the lowlands to Concepcion, the main center of restoration in the area.


Day 2

Visit the Concepcion Church, a true jewel of the 18th Century and one of the most important Jesuit constructions with colonial, baroque-style. Visit to the museum and artisan workshops, in which you may appreciate the skill with which the artisans work on raw materials. Tour of the surrounding areas and return to Santa Cruz.
