BOLIVIA
Day 1
Private transportation from La Paz or Island of the Sun crossing the lake and the highlands, then bordering the city of La Paz to La Cumbre, where the trek starts going up the summit of Chucura (4,850 m). Then down over a well preserved trail, crossing the Indian village of Chucura, next is Challapampa to camp at 2,800 m, vegetation here is green.
Day 2
The high jungle began in a steep trail, with water running slippery sometimes, until Choro (2,300 m), cross the river, ideal for a cold swim. Then go up and down many side hills crossing Pabellonani, to finally reach Sandillani (2,100 m), a nice farm build by a Japanese hermit with great views of the Yungas area.
Day 3
First goes down gentle before dropping down steep in zig zag to El Chairo (1,300 m), a village in the shores of the Huarinilla river, with tropical agriculture. The road goes to Yolosa and Coroico, the trek ends in Rio Selva Resort (1,050 m).
Day 4
Enjoy the facilities of the Resort and recover energy with warm weather. In the afternoon private transportation back to La Paz.
