The tour is done mainly in the downtown area and Matriz Square, with a panoramic view of the city at night, in the historical area and Moinhos de Vento with its bars, cafes, restaurants and striking shop-windows. Continuing, typical dinners with live music and folkloric show.
The tour starts from the hotels to visit the historical area in downtown, where the city began: Alfândega Square, architectural structures of the Museu de Artes, Memorial, Santander Cultural and Alfândega buildings. On the next block: City Hall, Public Market and Port. A special view of the city from the Mario Quintana Cultural Center and Usina do Gasômetro. Continuing in the lower part of the town, visit to the Stone Bridge and the Azorian Memorial. Matriz Square is at the highest point of the central area, and assembles around it Piratini Palace, Cathedral, São Pedro Theatre and Julio de Castilhos Memorial. Heading east, a ride along residential areas and in Moinhos de Vento district, with its bars, coffee bars and restaurants. The tour continues through the south region of Porto Alegre, panoramic view of the Guaíba and of the city.
Morning departure from Porto Alegre to Vale dos Sinos, São Leopoldo, first German settlement in the State and Novo Hamburgo, Brazilian capital of shoes manufacturing. Arrival in Canela and Gramado, typical “German style” towns, with flowers and Bavarian chalet architectural style houses. Visit to the Stone Cathedral, Caracol Park with the Veu da Noiva waterfall and the Castelinho (a typical construction from the beginning of the last century). Typical regional lunch. In the afternoon, visits to Artcrafts, homemade chocolate shops, leather goods shops, Negro Lake and to other attractions. Late afternoon, return to Porto Alegre.
Morning departure to the Vineyard Valley at Bento Gonçalves. Visit to an exclusive and small cellars. The Vineyard Valley is a small grape production area, inside Wine Region. It’s characterized by the small vineyards, with wine production, juices and blends of an excellent quality, some rewarded in national and international contests, with production limited to the family’s vineyards. It joins peculiar aspects of way of life, cooking, hospitality, along with the history of work and dedication of the Italian immigrant in the region. Some of the vineyards are: Lidio Carraro, Cave de Pedra, Miolo, Valduga, Don Cândido, Don Laurindo, Cordelier, Marco Luigi and others. Late afternoon, return in Porto Alegre.
