Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival at Rio de Janeiro International airport and transfer to a hotel in the Seaside area of the city. Morning at leisure to rest from the jet lag. In the afternoon, visit to the Sugar Loaf Mountain, located at Red Beach – for a sunset caipirinha drink at the Urca Hill gardens- the first level of Sugar Loaf. After visit to both levels, depart for a nice dinner at Real Astória, with its porch facing the Botafogo cove – Guanabara Bay.
After dinner, return to hotel for overnight.
Day 2
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Am: Departure from hotel for an interesting historical tour in the downtown Area of the city, stopping first at the beautiful São Bento Monastery, beautiful Not only because of the church but also for its patio facing the Guanabara Bay. After visit, proceed by car to the Praça XV Square for a visit to Paço Imperial, a rare example of historical monument, as during some years of Colonial period was the house of the Portuguese government, and up to the Arrival of the Royal Portuguese Family in Rio became the palace of the Special Governors. Also served as residence for the Royal Portuguese Family until 1822 – the year of Brazil´s independence from Portugal. Then Crossing the street, visit to the recently renovated Carmo Church, where on Saturdays is possible to watch a sound and light presentation. Then proceeding by foot to the famous Carioca Square, where the 400 year St. Antonio convent is located , close to Cinelandia square where the magnificent Opera House is located ( Teatro Municipal ), a copy of the Opera de Paris, from there the coach will be waiting to take the group up to Humaitá district for a lunch at the different restaurant A Mineira, with very simple oration, offering a typical Minas Gerais state cuisine served on a buffet style. Return to hotel by mid afternoon. Eve: Departure from hotel for a nice dinner at Milano Doc.

Day 3
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Am: Departure from hotel up to the mountains, a 1.30 hr drive from Rio de Janeiro, To visit the Imperial city of Petropolis, where was located the former summer residence of the Brazilian Imperial family, which nowadays houses the Imperial Museum. At Petropolis, a visit to the Museum and the Cathedral will be made. A delicious lunch will be provided to the group at the interesting Chale Manaká, With a home made cuisine served in a very traditional Petropolis house. After lunch The group will proceed to the Crystal Palace. After visit return to Rio by mid afternoon. Dinner at hotel.
Day 4
Buffet breakfast at hotel.
Am: Departure from hotel for an interesting visit to the Corcovado Mountain, Going up and down the mountain in the cogwheel train , having the opportunity to See some of the urban forest of Tijuca, then on the return group will meet the coach At Paineiras station then proceed to the beautiful Botanical Garden, at the elegant Quarter with the same name. then proceed for lunch at Espaço Leblon Barbecue, Return to hotel by mid afternoon. In the evening, departure from hotel for a nice dinner at Marius Crustáceos – a sea
food festival restaurant located in front of Leme beach.
After dinner return to hotel for overnight.
Day 5
Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast at hotel, departure for the colonial city of Paraty, located 04.30 hr drive from Rio de Janeiro, at the Green Coast of the state. Arriving , the bus will only reach the Matriz square, where passengers will walk to one of the interesting Pousadas located at the Historical Center.Rest of the afternoon to rest or make some exploration on foot of the area. In the evening, departure from hotel by foot for a dinner at Paraty 33 – a mixture of Café and restaurant, with live music.
After dinner return to the Pousada for overnight.
Day 6
Buffet breakfast at hotel. After breakfast, meeting with the local guide for an interesting walking tour around the Historical center, with its houses and churches dated from the colonial period, a Stop at the very well organized Casa da Cultura ( House of Culture ), presenting Photos from some locals and their statements, the Sacred Art Museum, close to the Pier, and also the residence of D. João de Orleans e Bragança, the prince who was Princess Isabel great grand son. Lunch in one of the interesting restaurants of the Historical center. Evening at leisure.
Overnight at the Pousada.
Day 7
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Morning at leisure for a bike tour around the region. In the evening, departure to Teatro Espaço to watch one hour presentation of the World famous puppet theater from Paraty. ( presentations are available only Wednesdays and Saturdays).

Day 8
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Departure from hotel to visit part of the famous Caminho do Ouro – Gold way, where The Slaves took the gold on donkeys from Minas Gerais state to Paraty to embark the Gold to Portugal. After visit, proceed to the Fazenda Muricana, to visit the cachaça Production, known for its assorted kinds of this very special Brazilian drink made from Sugar cane. Afternoon at leisure for shopping. In the evening, departure from hotel for a nice dinner at Margarida Café.
Overnight at the pousada.
Day 9
Buffet breakfast at hotel. Departure transfer back to Rio de Janeiro airport for international flight.
