With an archipelago of more than 300 islands and countless beaches, the town of Angra lies in the heart of this paradise, some 160 km south of Rio. This spectacular view, winds over mountainous terrain covered in lush Atlantic rain forest. Graceful coves and sandy beaches, little islands and crystal clear water make the journey a memorable occasion. The town of Angra dos Reis has been continuously settled since the early 1500's. There are many lovely old buildings from the colonial past when the town was a great port and agricultural center. A saveiro schooner waits at the dock to take visitors on a cruise of those many islands, stopping for a swim in the enticing turquoise blue waters. A delicious lunch of hot and cold self-service buffet will be served.
Buzios was a fishermen village, then became fashionable and sophisticated. The city now has 15,000 habitants. Upon arrival in Buzios, enjoy a walk through the cobbled streets, full of quaint charm, made famous by Brigitte Bardot, the famous French actress. Location: Tour departs from your Rio de Janeiro hotel. Between 8:00am and 9:00am, depending on the hotel location. Arrival in Buzios around 12 noon. Passengers will have 4 hours free time to tour the shops at Rua das Pedras, art galeries, restaurants, or go to the beach.

After collecting passengers at their hotels, the tour will continue to the Cosme Velho station to catch the cog wheel train (ticket is included) for a journey through the dense Atlantic Rain Forest of Tijuca, to the Christ Statue on Corcovado mountain. The guide has between 40 and 60 minutes to show the wonderful sights of Rio. The tour continues to Sao Conrado and Pepino Beach where the hand gliders land and, by noon, the passengers are returned to their respective hotels.
On 1st January, 1502, a Portuguese squad, commanded by Gonçalves, discovered the Guanabara Bay and, judging to be a great river, and being January, he gave it the name of Rio de Janeiro. Guanabara Bay is the largest bay in the world based on volume of water, has several islands such as the Governor's Island, Fundão and Snakes Island. This is an unusual walking tour which gives the visitor a feeling for the legends and stories woven around the narrow streets and old historical buildings of downtown Rio. The city of Petropolis is located 60 km away from Rio and it has been called the Imperial City since the Emperor Pedro II. Settled by the Germans, Petropolis keeps the memory of Brazilian history with its buildings and charming streets. This tour starts with the visit to the Imperial Museum, which has been the summer residence of the Emperor D. Pedro II and here you can see furniture and objects such as the crown of gold, pearls and diamonds used by D. Pedro I and D. Pedro II. The tour will continue on the Gothic Cathedral where Princess Isabel was buried along with the tombstones of D. Pedro II and his wife. From there you will see the Crystal Palace, built in France and mounted in Brazil, destined to shelter exhibitions and great parties promoted by Princess Isabel.
This tour begins with a city panoramic view through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form, with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. Get to know the traditional Cinelândia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: the Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two levels by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and from where the second cable car will lead the participants to the most astonishing views of their lifes, at the top of the Sugar Loaf at 395 meters high, where is to possible see the incredible sights of the Guanabara Bay and its islands, and also the Rio-Niteró Bridge and Corcovado Hill.
The coach will pick you up from your hotels and take the Rio-Santos road to Itacuruça. There you will board a schooner (locally known as "saveiros"). A tray of tropical fruits will be served on board. A bar is also available on the boat. (Beverages are not included in tour price). The schooner cruises the Sepetiba Bay, an area rich in natural beauty, where it is common for passengers to spot the dolphins, giant king-fishers, parrots, turtles and sting-rays. After stopping for a swim, continue to the island where a delicious lunch buffet will be served. After lunch, there will still be time to explore the island before returning to Itacuruça. Return to Rio after that.

This tour consists of a jeep ride through the biggest urban forest park in the planet, The National Park of Floresta da Tijuca. The participants will be taken to drive on 4x4 jeep trucks till the Horto Florestal. The first stop will be in a lovely cascade called Cachoeira dos Macacos (Monkey´s Cascade), followed by Vista Chinesa, the highest spot of the park. After that the passengers will be taken to Mesa do Imperador, (Emperor´s Table), the place where the emperor Peter II, used to picnic enjoying a fantastic view. After that, a long trail walking with a stop in Cascatinha (little cascade), a short visit to the Mayrink Chappel and the visitor’s center. A cross through the woods, the participants will leave the park via Canoas road to the Pepino beach, where can be seen the ballooners practicing over the skies. Return to the Hotel, via avenue Oscar Niemeyer seashore.
The participants will be taken in jeeps to the Corcovado Hill, located in the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located, one of Rio’s most famous postcards. After visiting Corcovado, the tour will continue to Sta. Teresa, a traditional district with a mild climate and big houses from the beginning of the century, built mainly by English railroad managers. In old days, it became an art center with lots of craftsmanship galleries and the only district in Rio where we can find the trolley car.
