Chile’s economy characterizes itself for being an open one (orientated in exportation). This exporting profile has been composed of by 45% industrial goods, another 45% of it in mining, and the remaining 10% in agricultural products, approximately. These figures modify themselves on some occasions due to the variations in the price of copper (of which Chile depends on 35% of its export sales). Inside the industrial area the most important industries are the export of cellulose products, wood, methanol, and agricultural products like dairy and fishing. The country begins its period of autonomy from Spain since the Declaration of the First National Reunion of Government in 1810, which comes to an end with the Declaration of Independence on the 2nd of February of 1818.
