Detailed Itinerary:
Day 11
Punta Arenas / Estancia El Palenque / Patagonia Camp
Transfer from Punta Arenas to Patagonia Camp. From Punta Arenas, we’ll pass through Patagonian steppe, a wide-open, vast territory where it is possible to view regional birds such as the Darwin’s Rhea and the Upland Goose. Along the way we will stop at the Estancia El Palenque, where our guests can take part in the preparation of a Magellanic lamb barbecue and learn about Patagonia traditions and the activities of a typical Patagonian ranch. Arrive at Patagonia Camp in the afternoon
Day 2
Patagonia Camp / Salto del Toro / Laguna Bonita / Patagonia Camp
Following breakfast we begin our half-day hike to Salto del Toro, a beautiful waterfall that embodies the magic of Patagonia nature. This hike provides an excellent introduction to Torres del Paine. Following lunch, we will take an afternoon trek to Laguna Bonita. This easy trail begins at the Patagonia Camp and continues along the lake Laguna Bonita, whose dark, calm waters provide an astonishing reflection of the snow-capped peaks and beech forests that surround the Patagonia Camp. Dinner and lodging at Patagonia Camp.
Day 3
Patagonia Camp / Mirador del Toro / Playa Grey / Salto Grande / Mirador Cuernos / Patagonia Camp
Following breakfast, this full-day excursion to Torres del Paine National Park will take us to the park’s main attractions and lookout points to view and photograph the mountains and lakes that have made this park famous worldwide. The excursion begins at the Mirador del Toro, a lookout point with a spectacular view of Lake Toro and the Paine Massif, and continues to the Grey sector where we will cross a hanging bridge over the Pingo River and arrive at the Grey beach, to view the electric blue icebergs that have broken off of Glacier Grey. From here we can see Glacier Grey in the distance, an enormous, 6km-wide wall of ice. The excursion then carries on to the Salto Grande and a short trek to the Mirador Cuernos, a lookout point with up-close and direct views of the Paine Massif.
Day 4
Patagonia Camp / Puerto Natales / Punta Arenas
