This two day outing goes from Quito South to the Village of Baños, a picturesque place rich on scenery and thermal springs right at the base of Tungurahua Volcano.
Day 1
Quito/Patate
The drive itself shows a variety of terrain with temperate valleys and both of the towering Andean ranges forming what von Humboldt called “The Avenue of the Volcanoes” and from Ambato East down into the valley of Patate with its productive fruit and vegetable land. Baños is located in this great canyon and displays a good variety of attractions. From its unique and peculiar church to crafting of many items. The thermal springs from the volcano are known to have medicinal properties so are almost a must. Down bellow the Pastaza River canyon is a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails.
Overnight at Hacienda Leito.
Day 2
Patate/Quito
Morning enjoy the Hacienda or take the opportunity for horse back ridding or walking. After lunch come back to Quito

Depending on the day of the week, visit a local market before heading East down into the valley of Patate with its productive fruit and vegetable land.

Travel from Quito to Baños the drive itself shows a variety of terrain with temperate valleys and both of the towering Andean ranges forming what von Humboldt called “The Avenue of the Volcanoes”; depending on the day of week visit one of the Indian markets located in the area before arriving to Baños, which is the gateway to the Amazon Rainforest.

Day 2
Baños
Devote this second day to the Pastaza River canyon which has a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails, ready to be explored. This is a day to enjoy the nature of the area.

Day 3
Baños/Quito
Baños is located in this great canyon and displays a good variety of attractions, from its unique and peculiar church to crafting of many items. The thermal springs from the volcano are known to have medicinal properties so are almost a must. After lunch drive back to Quito.
