Detailed Itinerary:


Day 1
Arrival in Quito (-)

Be welcome by the Condor Travel Team at your arrival to the International airport “Mariscal Sucre”.  Assistance with your luggage and transfer to your hotel for your check in.
In the afternoon, free time to get adjust to the alttitude. (Quito is located at 2800 meters above sea level)

Day 2
Quito – The Amazon Basin (B,L,D)

Wake up early in the morning to start your extreme adventure in Ecuador.
Drive to Papallacta for a  soft trekking at the Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve. Cayambe Coca is managed by the Ministry of the Environment.  The Reserve extends for approximately  400,000 hectares (1 million acres) and is largely composed of páramo (moorland), primary forests, rivers and lagoons.  Cayambe Coca is considered one of the protected areas housing the greatest animal and plant diversity in Ecuador . From Papallacta the Reserve can be accessed upon payment of a small entrance fee.  The páramo, considered a carbon deposit, collects and regulates water flow and rainfall.  Trout fishing is allowed with the appropriate permit issued by the authorities. After your trekking continue to Shangrila located at the Amazon Basin for the overnight.

Day 3
The Amazon: Rafting Adventure (B,L,D)

Ecuador has one of the world´s highest concentrations of rivers per square mile and the magnificence ranges that crossed the country from North to south are cradle of an innumerable number of rivers with different difficulty grades.
The Rio Misahualli (Class IV and IV+) is the most challenging rafting trip offered in Ecuador! Magical and unlike any other river, it is nestled in a deep and enchanted canyon surrounded with lush virgin jungles and sparkling waterfalls. This trip is so spectacular, it has earned the title "the Rio Misahualli Experience".
The Experience also involves tackling a challenging gorge filled with numerous large class IV rapids, portaging the rafts around breathtaking Casanova Falls and subsequently running the single biggest rapid commercially rafted in all of Ecuador, called "the Land of the Giants".

Day 4
The Amazon Basin – Banos – Patate
(B)

Baños is one of the most important tourist spots in the country, popular with Ecuadorians and foreigners alike. Unless you’ve only just arrived in Latin America, you’ll know that Baños means “baths”, which is precisely what the town is famous for.  The baths are not the only attractions, the town displays a great exhibition of handicrafts and it’s surroundings are full of nature and amazing waterfalls. Baños elevation is 1800 meters above sea level with a warm and nice climate. This tour is dedicated to the Pastaza River canyon which has a collection of beautiful waterfalls and great nature trails ready to be explored. This is a day to enjoy the nature of the area. During this half day, the group will visit the famous Pailon del Diablo, A beautiful waterfall about 1 km off the main road from Baños to Puyo and if your are adventurous enough, get a ride on the cable cars.

Day 5
Patate – Cotopaxi: Mountain Bike (B,L,D)

Again, early wake up and transport by car from the valley of Patate to the entrance of the Cotopaxi National Park, where the group will take the bikes for a unique adventure.
The Cotopaxi National Park is an ecological sanctuary of 36,000 hectares surrounding the highest active volcano in the world: Mt. Cotopaxi. This fabulous sanctuary, with its treeless Andean moorlands or paramo dotted with fauna, is especially attractive to nature lovers. We will see herds of llamas, wild horses, and perhaps deer, rabbits, frogs and lizards and with some luck, we will spot an Andean condor.
We will start the ride (5 hours aprox) early in the morning from Lodge Tambopaxi going through the moorlands of the National Park until we get Hacienda Yanahurco. Box lunch will be served during the bike ride.

Day 6
Cotopaxi – Horse Ride to Antisana Ecological Reserve – Quito (B,L)

Depart very early in the morning from Hacienda Yanahurco to Hacienda Antisana (5 to 6 horseback riding adventure). Located at 55kms from the city of Quito with an extension of 120 hectares we found the moorlands of the Antisana Ecological Reserve considered one of the 10 hot spots of biodiversity in the world. The reserve is strategically located between the highlands of the Andean Range and the Tropical Forest of the Amazon Region. This geographical situation, allows the thaws of the Antisana Volcano (The fourth highest Volcano in Ecuador) to feed both the Amazon and the Highland rivers. The Volcano counts with three excellent peaks for climbing and the lagoons that surround the mountain reflects the snowy peaks of indescribable beauty.  This location is also the cause for why we can find a unique spot of flora and fauna. Between its territory full of water mirrors and snowy peaks this reserve counts with a vegetation compose of the typical moorlands of the Andean region like, chuquiraguas, mosses, orchids plus a variety of tree species such as aliso, walnut trees, arrayan and others which represents a the lowlands of the tropical rainforest.  At the end, drive to the city of Quito. Day 7
International Departure (B)

Early in the morning, depending your flight schedule get your transfer from the hotel to the airport to catch your International flight.
