SKY AIRLINE AND AIR COMET: LAND IN PUERTO NATALES

Puerto Natales, the main gateway to the Torres del Paine National Park, now boasts flights that connect the city with the rest of the country (Santiago, Puerto Montt and Punta Arenas). This has been made possible thanks to the new services provided by SKY Airline and AirComet Chile. Both airlines began flying to Puerto Natales in January.

Sky’s first flight took place on January 8th; at present, it lands on the “Teniente Julio Gallardo” airport on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. On the other hand, Air Comet Chile began operating on January 19th with Weekend flights.

Interestingly enough, the Boeing 737-200 aircraft was named after Captain Constantino Kochifas, the shipbuilder and owner of the famous Skorpios cruiseships. The M/S “Skorpios III” transports tourists from Puerto Natales to the Pio XI glacier. The company has a transport agreement for their passengers with AirComet Chile.
