2D/1N Inca Trail

Day 1
A short walk to discover Machu Picchu and the surroundings of Cuzco in a new way. We take the train from Cuzco to km 104, where we begin our hike with a visit to the ruins of Chachabamba. We then continue, passing by a small and refreshing waterfall until we reach the ruins of Wayna Wiñay and its impressive terraces that demonstrate the skill of Inca engineers. After lunch, we walk again to the Inti Punku (or Door of the Sun), where we will have our first view, panoramic and spectacular, of the citadel of Machu Picchu. We then take the bus to the village of Aguas Calientes to spend the night.

Overnight in Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu.

Day 2
We depart from the bus terminal to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour through the different sectors of the archaeological complex, including the Intihuatana, or sundial, that was used by ancient Peruvians. We then return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cuzco.

4D/3N Inca Trail

Day 1
We leave the hotel in Cuzco to go to Piscacucho, the starting point for the trek, visiting the archaeological site of Llactapata. After lunch, we continue to Huayllabamba, where we’ll set up camp the camp for the night.


Day 2
We begin our trek by climbing to the 4,200-meter Warmiwañusca pass, passing through Llulluchapampa. At the pass, we have a spectacular view of the Andes before beginning the descent to camp in Pacaymayo.


Day 3
We head off towards Runkuracay to visit its archaeological remains, then continue hiking to the 3,900- meter mountain pass with the same name, where we begin our descent to the ruins of Sayacmarca. After lunch, our hike takes us to Wiñay Wayna, which will be our camp on the last night.


Day 4
We start hiking early towards Inti Punku, or Door of the Sun, where we have a spectacular panoramic view of the citadel of Machu Picchu. We descend to view its various sectors, then take the bus to the village of Aguas Calientes, where we take the train back to the city of Cuzco.

Day 1
We depart from the hotel towards Piscacucho, the starting point of our trek. After visiting the ruins of Llactapata, we go to our camp, 30 minutes from the archaeological complex.

Day 2
Following the course of the Kusichaca River, we arrive at the ancient Inca town of Huayllabamba, where we will be served lunch. We then start hiking again, climbing up towards Llulluchapampa, where we’ll make camp this night.

Day 3
The hike begins very early to reach the 4,200-meter Warmiwañusca pass. After a brief stop to enjoy the landscape of the Andes, we begin the descent into the Pacaymayo valley to climb back to Runkuracay, at 3,900 meters, where we visit its archaeological remains. We descend to the ruins of Sayacmarca and continue to Chaquicocha, where we have lunch. The hike ends in the afternoon in Phuyupatamarca.

Day 4
We begin the day descending by a stairway to Wiñay Wayna and its Incan terraces, where we have our lunch. In the afternoon, we continue hiking towards Inti Punku, or Door of the Sun, where we have the first panoramic view of the citadel of Machu Picchu, then take the bus to the village of Aguas Calientes, where we spend the night.

Day 5

Day 1
We depart in the direction of the town of Cachora, the starting point of the trek. After stopping for lunch, we continue on to the camp at Gateway Bridge.

Day 2
The hike begins very early to arrive at Santa Rosa, where we begin the ascent to Marampata to appreciate the local flora and fauna at a place where even spectacled bears have been sighted. Two more hours of walking sees our arrival at camp on the outskirts of Choquequirao.

Day 3
In the morning we visit the Choquequirao archaeological complex and before noon, we begin the return to Rosalina Beach, where we will camp that night.

Day 4
The hike back to the village of Cachora begins very early, via Cocamasana and Capulliloq, then returning to the city of Cusco.

9D/8N Choquequirao & Machu Picchu

Day 1
We depart by bus for the village of Cachora, where we have the first contact with the muleteers and porters. Here we begin the hike to Kapulyoq pass, which has a stunning view of the valley. Descending, we reach the first camp in Chiquiska.


Day 2
The day begins with the descent to the Apurimac River. After crossing the river, the hike continues upward for about 5 hours to reach the camp on the outskirts of the Choquequirao archaeological complex.


Day 3
In the morning, we visit the Choquequirao complex, exploring the different sectors of this impressive and monumental city. Today we enjoy a delicious Pachamanca, the ancient technique of cooking underground.


Day 4
After a short climb and after appreciating the beauty of the canyon, we visit the remains of Pinchaunuyoc, which are still covered by vegetation. We then begin hiking down to the White River, where we stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we climb to the next campsite at Maizal.


Day 5
In the morning, the hike begins with a climb to San Juan pass. After lunch, we descend, passing abandoned silver mines, until we arrive at camp in Yanama.


Day 6
The hike begins by climbing to Rinconada pass, where we have a wonderful view of snowcapped mountains. After lunch we began the descent to Batía Puquiska, in the high jungle, where we will make camp for the night.


Day 7
After a long hike downhill, during which we can see the change in the landscape and vegetation, we come to our lunch stop, then follow the Salkamayo River to the next camp in La Playa.


Day 8
Crossing the river, we climb to the overlook from where we have the first view of the citadel of Machu Picchu in the distance. After lunch, we begin the descent to the Machu Picchu hydroelectric station, where we board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes to spend the night.


Day 9
We leave the bus terminal to go to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour through the different sectors of the archaeological complex, including Intihuatana, or sundial, that was used by ancient Peruvians. We then return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the train back to Cusco.

Day 1

We depart from the hotel to go to the Tarawasi archaeological complex, then continue on to Soraypampa, where we have lunch. After meeting the muleteers and porters, well begin the hike to Salkataypampa, where tonight’s camp will be set up.


Day 2

Early on, we begin the hike near the Salkantay moraine, from where we have spectacular views of the landscape, and then descend to the village of Huayraqmachay for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue the descent to the camp at Qollpapampa.


Day 3

In the morning, we begin the descent on narrow paths until, at an altitude of 2,600 meters, we arrive at the Cachora River, walking along the river until we reach the village of La Playa. After lunch, we begin hiking again, passing the small town of Sahuayaco, until we reach the camp in Lucmabamba.

Day 4
Taking portions of the Inca trail, we arrive at Llactapata, the last archaeological complex on the trail and from where a part of Machu Picchu can be seen in the distance. After a short rest, we descend to the Aobamba River. After lunch and our good-byes to the muleteers, the trek concludes at the hydropower station, where we take the train to Aguas Calientes.


Day 5

We leave the bus terminal to go to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, where we have a guided tour through the different sectors of the archaeological complex, including Intihuatana, or sundial, that was used by ancient Peruvians. We then return by bus to the town of Aguas Calientes to take the return train to Cusco.

Day 1

We depart for the town of Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, where we visit its fortress, then continue on to the village of Willoc. From there, we head towards Patacancha, where the trek begins. Passing through small villages, we arrive to the village of Palca, where we set up our first camp.

Day 2

We hike up to the first pass, from where we have a spectacular view of the mountains of Urubamba. At this point, we begin the descent to Qelcanca, a community dedicated to the raising of llamas and alpacas. After visiting the community, we continue to the second camp overlooking the snowcapped Terijuay peak.

Day 3

Our hike takes us up gradually, passing by the beautiful Yuraqcocha and Cochayoi lakes, where we will visit a community dedicated to preserving ancestral methods of weaving. We then begin the descent to camp in the community of Cachín.

Day 4

After visiting the community of Cachín, we begin the descent toward the village of Lares, located in the valley with the same name, where a vehicle will be awaiting us for the return trip.

Day 1

We go to Tambomachay, where we begin the trek, passing by Yanacocha and Qoricocha lakes. After lunch, we continue on to the camp in Huchuyqosqo.


Day 2
 
In the morning, we have a guided tour of the archaeological remains, and then we begin hiking down to the village of Lamay in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, where we pick up our return transportation.

Day 1

The journey begins by passing through the Salinas Nature Reserve and Aguada Blanca, then arriving to the Colca Canyon where, following lunch, we begin hiking to the town of San Juan de Chucco, where we spend the night.

Day 2

We begin a downhill hike to the Oasis of Sangallo, where we have lunch and rest by the pool and then begin climbing to Cabanaconde.

Day 3

We take the vehicle to Cruz del Condor, where, if the weather permits, we will be able to appreciate the majestic flight of the worlds largest bird. We continue on to Calera, and after lunch, return to the city.

4D/3N Colca Canyon

Day 1

We pass through the Salinas National Reserve and Aguada Blanca, then arrive to Cabanaconde, where we have lunch. We then descend to the village of Pallca, on the Colca River, where we take a detour to San Juan de Chuccos  and camp for the night.

Day 2

We begin our hike, visiting the town of Llatica and then the village of Fure, where we will camp. Following lunch and a brief rest, we can enjoy the landscape surrounding the Huaruro and Tocayo waterfalls.

Day 3

We begin hiking to the Oasis of Sangallo, where we have lunch before continuing on to Cabanaconde, where we stop to camp.

Day 4

We leave in vehicles to the Cruz del Condor, where, if the weather permits, well be able to see the majestic flight of the condor, the worlds largest bird. We then continue on to Chivay to have lunch before returning to the city.

4D/3N Cotahuasi Canyon

Day 1

We leave the city of Arequipa in the direction of the Majes Valley to see the petroglyphs of Toro Muerto and Chuquibamba, where we have lunch. From here, we take a dirt road to the Cotahuasi Valley.


Day 2

Our hike begins along the river, where we see farmers in their daily tasks, until we arrive to Sipia Falls. After lunch and a short rest, we continue, partly on an Incan trail, until we arrive at Judio Pampa, a grove of cactus that reach up to 13 meters high. We then return in vehicles to Cotahuasi to rest in its hot springs.


Day 3

We take our transport to the villages of Tomepampa, Alca and Puica to begin hiking to the fortress of Wari in Maucallacta. We then go to the Luicho thermal baths, where we make camp.


Day 4

The day begins with a short walk to Coropuna mountain, to then begin our return to the city of Arequipa, making a brief stop along the way for a lunch of crawfish from the Majes River.

2D/1N Chachani Volcano

Day 1

We leave the city, arriving at the base of the volcano. We set up the base camp at an altitude of 5,000 meters in order to get acclimated.


Day 2

At about 2:30 am, we begin our ascent up the north face of the volcano, which is usually covered with snow. We then continue along the south face until we arrive at the summit where, after a short break, we begin the descent to collect our belongings from the base camp and return to the city of Arequipa.

Day 1

After passing through the Majes Valley, where we visit the Toro Muerto petroglyphs in Corire, we stop for lunch. We continue, passing by Coropuna peak, towards the Valley of the Volcanoes, or Andagua, made up of dwarf volcanoes. We make camp in the crater of one of the volcanoes.
 

Day 2

We go by vehicles to the village of Ayo, where we begin a short walk to Lake Mamachocha, an oasis formed by groundwater. After lunch, we return to camp for the night.


Day 3

After breakfast, we visit the area where we find extinct volcanoes and the remains of Antaimarca. Around noon, we begin our return to the city of Arequipa.

Day 1

We leave for the Majes valley, where we visit the petroglyphs at Toro Muerto in Corire. After lunch, we continue on past Coropuna peak into the Valley of the Volcanoes, or Andagua, made up of dwarf volcanoes. We make camp in the crater of one of the volcanoes.


Day 2

We go by vehicles to the village of Ayo, where we begin a short walk to Lake Mamachocha, an oasis formed by groundwater. After lunch, we return to camp for the night.


Day 3

After breakfast, we visit the area of extinct volcanoes. Around noon, we start back to Ongoro, in the Majes River Valley, where we will camp.


Day 4
After breakfast, we begin to prepare for rafting on Class II, III, and occasionally IV rapids, depending on the flow of the river, in the direction of Acoy. From here we begin our return to the city.
