PERU
Set between the Cordillera Negra and the Cordillera Blanca, the Callejon de Huaylas is noted for its beautiful landscape of glaciers, fields and lakes. On this tour, we will see the typical Andean villages located along the length of the valley, such as Carhuaz, Caraz and Yungay. We then continue to the beautiful Lake Llanganuco, whose turquoise waters reflect the majesty of the snow-capped Huascaran peak. A tour that mixes history and adventure to the delight of all the senses.
Located in the department of Huaraz, the archaeological complex of the Millennial Temple of Chavin de Huantar was built by the Chavin culture around 900 B.C. On this tour, we will visit the complex and its network of internal galleries that form an impressive maze, and appreciate the Chavin Lanzon, the Clavas heads and the Choquechinchay stone. A tour to learn about the previous Peruvian millennium in the Andes mountains of Huaraz.
