Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1
Arrival in Lima (-)
Upon arrival, reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Our representative will give you a documentation kit with detailed program explanation. Luggage and hotel registration assistance is offered. If arrival flight permits, optional city tour through the colonial and contemporary areas of Lima and visit to the Larco Museum.
Overnight in Lima.
Day 2
Cusco - Sacred Valley – Ollantaytambo Fortress (B/L/D)
Early departure to the airport to board your flight to Cusco. Our staff will welcome you and will take you to the Sacred Valley, an excellent place to get acclimatized to the altitude. Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will visit to Ollantaytambo, a charming town of Inca origins with amazing canals and cobblestone streets. At the top there is an impressive ceremonial center for the worship of water and a fortress that protected the entry to the low part of the valley. We will also interact with the locals by visiting a local home. At night, Andean Pizza cooking class and dinner at the hotel.
Beginning of the Inca Cross Word Puzzle. Children must take note of some key phrases from their guides in Cusco and fill-out the crossword puzzle. At the final dinner in Cusco, the answers are checked and a prize for them is given.

Day 3
Adults: Pisac Ruins, Children: Awanakancha / Pisac Market & Activity à la Carte (B/L/D)
Today your family will be divided… only for the tours! Adults will visit the Pisac Ruins, overlooking the Vilcanota River with fortresses, urban complexes, temples and well preserved Andean terraces built by the Incas. Meanwhile, children will be visiting Awanakancha, a South American Camelids Theme Park where they will see Camelids such as llamas, vicuñas, and alpacas in their native environment. Meeting at noon to make some shopping at the traditional Pisac Market and then, buffet lunch in a local hacienda house or local restaurant. In the afternoon, your choice of: Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, River Rafting or visit to the local Andean community of Misminay. Optional activity for the night: Payment to Mother Earth and the Apus (Gods of the Mountains) Dinner at the hotel.

Day 4
Machu Picchu (B/L)
Come aboard to visit one of the most important energetic centers of the world: Machu Picchu. You will have amazing views of the landscapes of the Sacred Valley of Urubamba on the way to the station of Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we will start our ascent to visit the citadel, it will be an unforgettable experience, where a professional tour guide will transmit us the history around this mysterious and charming place, Heritage of the Humanity and probably, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Later, free time to explore the area and at the fixed time, descent to Aguas Calientes to catch the train back to Cusco, where our representatives will take you to the hotel.

Optional: Additional Night in Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu
Add one extra night in Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu and have the opportunity to make a second visit to the Inca citadel to explore it on your own and discover a piece of living history in every corner. We strongly suggest the Inkaterra Machu Picchu, a charming alternative with facilities for children.
Day 5
Cusco – City Tour, Sacsayhuaman and Nearby Ruins – Afternoon at leisure – Dinner & Folklore Show (B/D)
By the morning, guided tour of the most characteristic places in the center of Cusco, vivid example of the mixture of Inca and Spanish cultures. We will visit the Santo Domingo Monastery or “Koricancha”, catholic monastery built over an Inca palace dedicated to the worship of the Sun. We continue on to the Plaza de Armas, where the Compañia Church and the recently repaired Cathedral are located. Going on with the tour, we will visit the Sacsayhuaman Fortress, imposing sample of military Inca architecture which domains the city. Finally, we will take a look at the archaeological sites of Qenko, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay, located north east of the city. Lunch on your own and afternoon at leisure to explore the city. At night, you will be picked-up for dinner and folklore show in a local restaurant .

Day 6
Lima – Visit to Local Zoo (B)
Morning flight to Lima. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, you will be picked up to visit a local zoo. We offer you two alternatives: Huachipa Zoo or El Parque de las Leyendas (Park of the Legends).

Day 7
Iquitos - Ceiba Tops (B/L/D)
Morning flight to Iquitos. Upon arrival, reception at the airport, brief city orientation and transfer to the Explorama dock. Twenty-five mile journey down the Amazon River to Ceiba Tops, where rooms with air conditioning and private bathrooms provide the comforts of home in the rainforest. Afternoon hike in the beautiful primary rainforest reserve surrounding the lodge which includes many huge trees festooned with epiphytes. After dinner there may be local flute or guitar music at the El Toucan Bar or the guides are always ready to relate some of the many legends of the Amazon forest.
Overnight at Ceiba Tops
Day 8
Ceiba Tops (B/L/D)
Morning boat ride, spotting for dolphins, to visit a small village of Yagua Indians where your guide will explain the local Yagua Indian culture and how it was affected by the arrival of Europeans and the passing of time. There will also be an opportunity to see some of the local crafts and for a demonstration of the blowgun which some of the Yagua elders still use for hunting. Afternoon walking excursion to the neighboring town of Indiana. Originally a Franciscan mission, Indiana has grown into a large river community with its own market, high school and small hospital.

Optional: Full Day Excursion to the Canopy Walkway
Day 9
Ceiba Tops / Iquitos / International Departure (B)
Your choice of morning walking or boating excursion to further enjoy the rainforest and Amazon River. Afternoon transfer to Iquitos and to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, assistance at airport and connection with your international departure flight.
