After a full-day tour of Lima - “the City of Kings” – your clients will board a luxury bus for points south – first to the Paracas National Nature Reserve and the Ballestas Islands, then to Nazca for an over flight of its enigmatic Lines, and then to Peru’s second city, beautiful Arequipa. At 7,500 feet, Arequipa is the perfect place to acclimate for the climb into the heart of the Andes.

A short flight then lands the travelers in Cusco, the capital of the Inca Empire. A highlight of “the Andean Experience” is sure to be the next-day’s excursion of the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas and the overnight in legendary Urubamba.

A scenic train ride down the narrow Urubamba River valley then takes your clients to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where they will enjoy a full-day excursion and nighttime Machu Picchu accommodations in adjacent Aguas Calientes.

Next stop – La Paz, high in the Bolivian altiplano and a short distance from fabulous Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. “The Andean Experience” closes with two days and two nights in this magical highland landscape. The flight back to Lima will bring the traveler back down to earth before their return home.

Departure to Paracas, visiting Pachacamac ruins on the way. Afternoon visit to the Paracas Reserve and its site museum. (B)

DAY 4
Morning cruise to Ballestas Islands. In the afternoon, drive south to Nazca. (B)

DAY 5
In the morning, overflight of the famous Nazca Lines. Continue the drive journey to Arequipa. (B)

DAY 6
Morning tour of the countryside and the Sabandia Mill. In the afternoon, visit the city. (B)

DAY 7
Arequipa - Cuzco by plane. Afternoon tour of the city and the surrounding ruins. (B)

DAY 8
Full - day excursion to the Pisac market and the Ollantaytambo fortress. Overnight in the Urubamba Valley. (B, L)
